Make Your Own Rubber Band

Ok, I warn you this is not going to be as exciting as you hoped. Rubber bands, as fantastic as they are, are only made of one thing, rubber. But we do get to shape it. Oh, and I should also put a bit of a warning, it must be done under adult supervision, not to be ingested, don't make suggestive objects with the left over rubber ;)

Ingredients

• Pliatex Mold Rubber (You can buy if from art stores)
• Vinegar

Tools

• Two shallow trays
• One mug or cup (Disposable ones if the girlfriend/wife/mother is watching)

Method

1. Fill one tray half full of vinegar
2. Fill one tray half full of mold rubber
3. Dip the open end of the cup into the vinegar about 1.5 cm
4. Take it out and let any extra drops fall off
5. Before it drys put it into the mold rubber to the same depth
6. Remove and again let any extra drips fall off
7. Dip back into the vinegar and let sit for 5 seconds
8. Take it out and roll it down off either side of the cup
9. Let it sit for a little while while you make more
10. Enjoy it (And make some bouncy balls with the left overs)
